Rooted in the Chesapeake

Tides & Traditions was built on a deep respect for the Chesapeake Bay and the generations of watermen, boatbuilders, and families who have shaped life along its shores.

Our mission is simple: to offer meaningful, authentic experiences that connect guests to the Bay’s natural beauty, working traditions, and rich maritime heritage.

At the heart of every trip is our vessel and her story.

Meet The Lois Ann

Built in 1973 by famed Tilghman Island boatbuilder Maynard Lowery, The Lois Ann is a classic Chesapeake Bay deadrise originally crafted for Richard and Lois Ann Lednum.

After decades of working the Bay, she was purchased by her current owner and thoughtfully restored, updated with modern technology while preserving her traditional elegance and performance. Today, The Lois Ann stands as a beautifully restored blend of heritage and capability, purpose-built for comfort, safety, and unforgettable time on the water.

When you cruise with Tides & Traditions, you’re not just boarding a boat, you’re stepping into a living piece of Chesapeake history.
